Following the bold ideas of the founder Abdelmonem Bin Eisa Alserkal, Al Serkal Avenue was created in 2008 and aimed to foster a thriving creative community and support cultural output in Dubai. The area is host to a collection of 70 facilities including modern art galleries, visual and performing arts organisations, designers, homegrown and entrepreneur-led businesses, and community spaces. The newest addition to Al Serkal Avenue is Pekoe Tea & Bread Bar, a trendy café with a collection of friendly baristas who want to greet you, serve you, interact with you, and leave you with a straightforward, enjoyable experience. Supporting the ingenious creations of Blue Camel Design, our workforce was specified to supply and apply our microcement finishes to enhance the aesthetic whilst offering a durable surface for the many visitors to appreciate.

The chosen microcement solution for this project was Decorkrete, a decorative system which can be applied onto floors, walls, ceilings, and furniture without the hassle of removing the previous surfaces, reducing site wastage and encouraging a fast turnaround to exceed any project deadlines. Offering endless finish and colour options, Decorkrete allowed us to offer a variety of samples to encourage a simplistic specification process whilst delivering a hardwearing surface throughout the facility, capable of withstanding high volumes of foot traffic and heavy equipment. Applied at just 3-4mm thickness, our microcement solutions allow you to achieve a concrete finish without facing the weight limitations of traditional concrete and is the perfect way to transform any infrastructure into a contemporary masterpiece.
